I was just hit with a terrible irony. I’m sitting here at my desk at 7:19 pm and have been listening to Madonna - Hung Up all day. (It’s one of my usual song binges where I play the same song over and over for eight hours a day for about a week.) My frustration today is that the project I’m working on takes twenty-seven minutes to build. That means every time I make a change to the code that I want to test I have nothing to do for twenty-seven minutes but stare at a busy computer and listen to Madonna - Hung Up. The aforementioned irony is that I’m watching this this build for twenty-seven agonizing minutes while singing the Hung Up lyrics; “time goes by, so slowly … time goes by, so slowly … time goes by, so slowly … time goes by, so slowly.” Surprisingly enough it took me eight hours of building and Madonna to realize that correlation. Kill me now.
