what was I thinking? Apparently not “It’s a Monday night” or “work in 3 hours.”

I bought new pants the other day. Coincidentally they were from the “new” Express for men and the gay guy on the Real World wore them on a date tonight. It’s a little unsettling that a once women’s apparel label is also being nationally associated with gay men’s fashion, but I assure you, the similarities end there. I wear ‘em like a man.

He stands touch his hair his shoes untied
Tongue gaping stare
Could I have been a magnet for money?
Could I have been anyone other than me?

Twenty three and so tired of life
Such a shame to throw it all away
The images grow darker still
Could I have been anyone other than me?
Dave Matthews - Dancing Nancies

Could I have been a genius?  No.
Could I have been a writer?  Probably not.
Could I have been parking lot attendant?
Could I have been lost somewhere in Paris?  Maybe soon.
Could I have been working at WalMart?
Could I have been a successful freelance web designer?  Wish I was.
Could I have been jobless?  Glad I’m not.
Could I have been married?

Come Monday I’ll be a twenty three year old web developer.
Could I have been anyone other than me?

When coding this site, I stumbled through changing stylesheets (color schemes) about as good as I stumbled home from the bar on New Years. Needless to say, there was some bleeding involved in both. After finalizing the whole menagerie and jumping through hoops like a circus monkey, I finally got them to work …. kinda. Nine months later (has it really been that long?), I found thistutorial on switching to alternative stylesheets. Too bad it was written in Novemberand not April when I really needed it.

So I’m running my 5 miles for the day in front of the TV and acting like a big baby. If I was a real trooper, I wouldn’t be bothered by the numb feet every time I hit mile 3 (and yes, I always make sure my shoes aren’t too tight. who was it again that recommended the asics? …) Anyway, so this show on Navy SEAL training comes on the discovery channel. Talk about motivation; These guys had to do a 50 meter swim underwater. Literally every third or fourth guy passed out underwater rather than coming up for air. These guys are crazy. It was an awfully disturbing sight to see them pulling limp bodies out of the water and reviving them so they didn’t die. And it was happening at an alarming rate. But I digress … the point of all this is to remind you and me not to be a wimp.

And on a side note, I was just watching the diary of mandy moore on MTV. Can you believe she has a boyfriend? I don’t care how old she is, I’m still crushed. Next they’re gonna tell me that katie holmes is married.

Nokia 8260Rarelydo I fall so deep into love with an inanimate object, but my new cell phone has wonme over. Weighing in at 3.4 oz. and standing slightly over 4 inches tall, I like myphones like I like my women: petite. :) If you want the number, emailme, cause I don’t feel like giving the stalkers another method of harassing me.

So today I’ve been thinking about shaving my head again. who am i trying to impress, right? I don’t know what it is, but sometimes I just get the urge to make a change. I’m just hoping that it isn’t a sign of mental instability. So what do you think, should I do it? Here’s before and after.

I always have these great ideas just a little too late. My last great idea was the “glowstick suit.” It would have been amazing at a halloween party. I would dress all in black, tape glowsticks to my body, and dance around like a drunken idiot. classic I tell you. This idea was thought of a weekafter halloween. Anyway, my latest great idea was also thought of just a littletoo late. Imagine this: You go out for a night or serious drinking (New Years Eve). After passing out and forgetting most of the night, you wake up to find yourself coveredin blood. Hands, face, clothes, everything. Pretty scary right? So my great idea wasto get some fake halloween blood and cover a passed out friend with it. ObviouslyI missed this opportunity last new years eve, but just wait till next :)

Ah, they just played the Stackenblocken bit on Conan. I am overjoyed. Nothing puts me in a good mood like german SS officers beating a woman on a game show because she can’t arrange tabletop items at right angles :) "Das ist nein Stackenblocken!"

Hey I’m posting from Burger King just because I can. It’s a Buger King InternetCafe. Who would have thunk it? This makes me so happy having internet access at afast food place. I love the internet :) Anyway, when I get old and have lots of money,I think i’d like to open an internet cafe. My wife would handle the coffee part, andI’d do the computer part.

Hi, I’m still hangin around. I’ve been so engulfed in workin on my program that I haven’t even been to my site in days. (and probably no one else has either, but oh well). I’ve just recently discovered that programming in visual basic would be so much easier if every single one of Microsoft’s activeX controls didn’t have a bug in them.
Other than coding, my days usually consist of waking up around 2, getting dinner andsimpsons at 6:30, going out and drinking with friends till 2, and then starting overagain the next day. (who would have thought graduation would be like this?) AlthoughI really do need to start working soon cause more and more people important to mekeep disappearing to school or abroad or wherever.

ps - just for bill … this was posted via AIM!
